This edition of Wohlfahrt's "Studies For The Violin, Book 2" has been prepared with three objects in mind. First of all, it contains the most serviceable first position studies from each of Wohlfahrt's five books ("Op. 45 Nos. I and II", "54", and "74 Nos. I and II"). Their grade of difficulty, style, etc. is re-arranged to maintain a more logical relationship. Secondly, only the studies that are of the greatest importance are included. Third, a more thorough and consistent system of fingering and bowing is provided. This plan, faithfully followed, will save the student valuable time and a great deal of wasted effort.
